Thomas Mapfumo will include a Tuku Tribute on upcoming new album
Zimbabwe music legend Thomas Mapfumo who is based in the United States of America has been touring Zimbabwe for the last two months in what was dubbed peace promotion shows. The legend who torched controversy two weeks ago when he made comments that him and the late Oliver "Tuku" Mtukudzi are the only artists with international profile, revealed in a interview with Newsday that he will be releasing a new album before the end of February. The album will be his 51st and it will be a follow up to Danger Zone released in 2015.
The album will also feature a tribute to the late Oliver "Tuku" Mtukudzi titled God Bless Africa. In an interview with Newsday Mapfumo revealed that the song was initially meant to be a collaboration with the late Mtukudzi but the late Tuku died on 23 January 2019 before they could work on the song.
