Rap legend DMX released from prison and performs for the first time at Mr. Ciao
Rap legend DMX was released on 25 January 2019 from a federal prison from West Virginia. DMX was arrested and prosecuted in 2017 for hiding millions of dollars in income from IRS. He got $2 million dollars in tax liabilities. On 26 January 2019 DMX hit the ground running with a performance at Mr. Ciao in Staten Island. Ja Rule was supposed to perform but pulled out of the show for undisclosed reasons. DMX perfomed a number of hits that included Party Up, Where The Hood At? and Ruff Ryders' Anthem. Former Ruff Ryders compatriot Swiss Beatz revealed that DMX is geared up to release new music.
